The Golden Rule

The Golden Rule is the principle of treating others as one’s self would wish to be treated. (Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Rule)

This is my most important rule to live by. If you follow this rule, you will find yourself making friends with others that follow this rule. People that don’t follow the Golden Rule should be avoided. They are not healthy to be around.

Mistakes

We all make mistakes in life, but how do we mend those mistakes in the best way? Apologise to the person you wronged. Forgive yourself and others. Vent and move on with your life. That’s it!

The best way to vent is by treating a good friend to lunch. Good friendships will enrich your life.

Love / Never Settle

Never settle. The ones that think about you when you’re gone, and can’t get enough of you when you’re around are the keepers. Being in love is the most important factor in getting married; not kids, money, or because you haven’t found anyone better. If the person you love doesn’t love you back, don’t worry because someone else will.

Work / Happiness

In order for me to live a happy life, I require love, art, education, exploration, family, and friendships.

A job that does not involve these things will result in depression. A job that does involve these things will result in happiness.

Finding the right job is key. Balance in work and personal life is key. The ability to leave work and travel is key. The ability for work to be flexible with art and education is key.
